Peer Education

Peer Education is a very effective tool for creating awareness among both children and adults for the prevention of child trafficking and child labour.

RFG has trained a large number of peer educators in 16 communities in 2 districts. There are 2 sects of peer educators. One sect comprises of school children and the other sect comprises ex-child slaves.

All peer educators are given thorough training to understand the issues with child labour and child trafficking and their implication for the child education and general developement. The peer educators help to monitor households in the general community and report any incident of attempted child trafficking to community leaders, who take action.
